Drawing from Brave Writer curriculum, this weekly writing workshop will give your emerging independent writer a venue to:
- be inspired to write
- be exposed to beautiful language
- complete month-long writing projects
- share and collaborate with other kids
Class members should be comfortable with basics of English grammar (parts of speech) as well as some writing mechanics and be committed to working on their projects at home several days each week. Your child will learn with a small group of up to 6 other children in an indoor and outdoor adventurous setting.
Listen to a podcast with Julie Bogart from Brave Writer about the characteristics of the developmental stage of writing this course will cover.
Cost includes all supplies and materials as well as weekly online updates and instructions for activities at home.
Course is reimbursable through providers like MyTechHigh and Harmony. Check with yours for details.
Writing Adventures participants are invited with other Creekside class members to approximately two Friday adventures per month where we will take our learning to different places on hikes, field trips, and in workshops. Additional cost on some.

There are numerous ways to partially offset tuition for committed and dependable parents who would like to get involved–opportunities to mentor classes (short or long-term), prepare materials, payment in kind (needed supplies), assist with variety show production, help with website design and maintenance, etc. E-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
